@DiamondChrome42 Competitive players don't give a shit about what their Pokemon look like, they like the way the battles are formed and how they play against others. Most competitive battles are actually very complex. You can use abilities that raise attack power, attack repeatedly, make the opponent retreat, and so forth. Pokemon requires smarts, no matter how childish the game looks.

@DiamondChrome42 There is such thing as competitive Pokemon play. There are rules to what Pokemon are allowed (the really powerful ones are not allowed in competitive play), and there are complex calculations in how much damage the each attack does, how the stats are calculated, and so on. So no, Pokemon is not just for little kids.
