One thing to note on reassembly-there is a tiny blue capacitor under the lower right corner of the screen that sticks up off the PWB and actually pokes through the plastic housing. You can see the tip of it in the upper left corner of the battery compartment. When I put mine back together, I initially bent this cap over, which prevented the board from sitting down all the way. I didn't notice until I got the back put on and saw that one side wasn't flush with the back.Straightened the cap, nowOK
My Flip Ultra HD dropped on the ground, and now it won't turn on at all. Even when plugged into my computer, it won't power on and the computer doesn't even respond as if anything was plugged in. All I want is the footage from it, I can easily buy a new camera. I opened it up, but can't tell what's wrong by looking at it. Do you know if there's any way to get the data directly from wherever it's stored, or am I completely screwed?
I should ad that the connetion from the mother to daughter is paper thin, and can tear. Mine did, so just don't do this. My camera is virtually ruined.
we're in the exact same boat man, funny thing is i found out what my problem was and itll sound stupid to you but it worked for me, I screwed in a mount to the bottom of the flip, i had to get it in there pretty tight but it allows my flip buttons to work with the proper torque, try it out if you've exhausted your options. still i'm not happy with this crap camera and i bought a NIKON S8100. check this model out it's in the same price point and has TONS of features.

I wonder if you could change the internal memory and add a bigger 32gb sd card.
