Dr. Christiansen is a genius at the organ. He plays with such beautiful interpretaion of the music. It is truly magical to hear him play live!

@wurlitzer895 first of all, it's
DR Christiansen. The man has vast experience and he inde
ed plays this piece very well.

I've read all the comments with the greatest interest, and have to say that I disagree with a lot of them!! To my ears this is not a good performance. Quite apart from the finger slips, his rhythm and timing are all over the place and go far beyond what could politely be termed rubato or interpretation. Indeed they are so erratic as to be off-putting. Mr Christiansen has badly misjudged and misunderstood the nature of this charming and light-heated English miniature.

I think Clay Christiansen plays this better than any I've heard. His timing, and tempo is right on the mark!

im trying to find a video of this song being played where the camera is pointing at the pipe organ pipes that have an orange lights right behind them

I do like this very much...

Yes, the "great" Diane Bish, any comments on that adjective?

Did you say, "the great Diane Bish", or was that simply a typo?

The Grand Ole Oprey began broadcasting prior to Music and the Spoken Word, however it has not run continuously week-after-week since then. Music and the Spoken Word has.
