Nik Tyndall is a German synthesist ( 1963 Stuttgart ) whose real name is Jurgen Krehan. Early albums are done in the duo format together with Rudolf Langer, released under the single name Tyndall and were more typical for Electronic Music at that time. After the duo split, Krehan continued to release albums in a (bit) different style, going the way of New Age, and changed his name to Nik Tyndall
Dancing Marbles is from his album "Bolo"

As a designer of sound units and amplifiers in the '70s, this German artist made a natural progression into composing for electronic instruments at the end of the decade when he formed the avant-garde duo Tycoon with Rudolf Lager. In the mid-'80s, he struck out on his own and released a number of recordings on the German Sky label, in addition to composing soundtracks for film and television. His style combines primarily lush environmental soundscapes with the delicate percussive textures of bamboo, gongs, and windchimes.

  • Can someone help me find a copy of Nik Tyndall's Bolo album please? :) I just rediscovered this music fifteen years after last hearing it!

  • Many thanks Rob. My email is;

    bicyclerepairman1@yahoo.co.uk

    Kind regards, Alan.

  • thank you!
