thanks so much for your video. i was just watching the royal albert hall performance and wondering why the hell his fingering was always in E. now i know. my songbook also has everything in different keys than all the videos i see on youtube. very frustrating, because my voice matches the keys in the book, but the youtube stuff is usually very difficult to move around, like in Lodi. my book has it in F, but the best videos have it in Bb. D'oh. Anyway, that's another problem, but thanks the info.

Yea I agree enjoyed your video very much I must say. When you tune down can you still use the same positioning or does it have to cxhange. I learned it has way is why I am asking. thanks for your help to as well.

When you tune down, you'll have to play like what I showed in the video. The chords in the song are "D-A-G" just like My Twangy Guitar shows, BUT since my guitar is tuned a whole step deeper I'm playing "E-B-A" positions, but they ring out correctly because of the deeper tuning.
You can certainly play the positions like on My Twangy Guitar on a detuned guitar, but it won't sound right . You would have to use a capo and move on down two frets and it sorta defeats the purpose of detuning.

You are correct in that John Fogerty tuned down, this is no secret. It is also something I was well aware of one I shot my lesson. My lesson is presented in standard tuning because most folks won't tune down a whole step for one song. Even if you were to play a whole set of Creedence songs, they would not be all tuned down a whole step.
You can call *wrong* if you wish. I am aware of the down tuning but present most of the lessons for folks that wish to learn in standard tuning.

I didn't mean to offend by using the term "wrong". I just put my little piece up because I can remember the frustation I had trying to match the sound of the record when I was a kid and not knowing what I was doing. I spent alot of time making this little video, but it looks like crap in comparison to yours. I'm debating whether to just pull the plug on it or not.
