Your Host: Taylor Lawson

Taylor Lawson has been working as a professional captain since 1997 when he obtained his first United States Coast Guard license in San Francisco, California. Currently, he makes a living running and delivering motor yachts around the world and training individuals on how to operate their private boats.

A native of Annapolis, MD, he spent his childhood boating with his family from the age of seven. During the summers, he attended sailing school where he gained great insight to the art of close-quarters boat handling. While attending St. Mary's College of Maryland he raced dinghies on their nationally ranked sailing team and continued in competitive racing circuits after college. While living in Monterey California he was encouraged by an entrepreneur to get a captain's license and thereafter, run a local sailing charter boat. After California, he moved to the Caribbean where he ran a very busy charter boat. In order to start running motor yachts, he upgraded his engineering skills and safety credentials in Fort Lauderdale. Since then, his career as a motor yacht captain has taken him around the world.

  • Its a Cris Craft

  • y does it even matter if vehicle hits the water my dad does it all the time and nothing happens

  • @Justin881000

If it is in salt water it can destroy your bearings and brakes. If the exhaust goes underwater and the vehicle stalls you may not be able to restart your engine. Some ramps may abruptly stop and the vehicle go go of the paved end.

  • Not many, would depend on the size of the boat and weight, hardness of the beach, tires and slope of entry point into the water, does it drop off or is it so gradual the trailer could go in far enough to float the boat off. Some small boats, jets skis, sailboats may have beach wheels available to get a small pwc into the water.

  • This system is way to slow. No need for the guy to mess with those ropes when he could be driving the boat off and docking it. This will make a lot of people waiting to launch pissed off.

  • * Not all boats and trailers are the same. Your Results may vary.

  • @sexycummins I agree with no add ons we know were it's at!

  • Or you could do it like a man with no baby leashes and turn the motor on and reverse out of the dock and have your buddy drive the truck back and pull up to the dock bow first and have him jump on and then reverse again and then start partying!

  • Dude you are doing it way to slow. un hook it from the bow, get in, lower the transom, get in the water and start it up then just back it off and the trailer is going up to park and the next 10 people in line can have their turn

  • @sexycummins I agree with one add-on.. once in the water start it up add back off way you got control just in case thw boat does'nt start. almost happened to me where i drifted into another boat before it started

  • cool video... thanks for sharing... :)

  • There oughta be bleachers and they could charge admission at every public boat ramp. I'd pay good money to watch the comedy that goes on at boat ramps.

  • @Justin881000 some lakes aren't deep enough so you have to back you vehicle in. not a problem in fresh water lakes though

  • hello?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? as long as ur car is running when the exhaust is submerged water will not go iinto the exhaust and turn off the car

  • Lol, this is the worst shit I've ever seen. First off unhook everything. The guy with the ropes should be in the boat. Back the thing down in the water hit the brakes and the boat will float off. Start the boat, float it around till the person parking the trailer gets back down there, pull up and pick them up. Now you just kept from pissing everyone off waiting on you. Now go do 12oz curls all day;)
