@Wivanunu Yep! The sprinkling of the sand over Simba is a lot like pouring Holy Water over a baby during baptism, and the juice that he rubs into his forehead was meant to sort of be like making the sign of the cross on a baby's forehead during a Catholic baptism :) I've also seen babies raised up before the congregation like that after their baptism, so I just thought it was something kind of neat to see in a movie :)

@Wivanunu I actually heard somewhere that the script writers, who happen to be Christians, wrote the opening scene to resemble a baptism :) Just something to think about :)

She was powerful....never was impressed with the voodoo in the Lion King...but I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and they can't mix. But, I just saw this 2 days ago (the whole production) and it was really amazing! They must be exhausted!!

he estado el 17.11. en el Teatro Lope de Vega en Madrid ***IMPRESIONANTE***, no os lo perdáis, de aquí a unos meses repito aunque tenga que ahorrar (estoy en el paro actualmente)
