Yea - Sunday nights. Always at home, Wild Kingdom, Disney. Was there a movie on one channel? Things kind of changed in the early 70's, Saturday nights early with 'wait til your father gets home' and 'All in the Family'. How about summer replacement shows like Sonny and Cher, Tony Orlando & Dawn, etc. The 70's were retty cool to be a kid in. Couldn't wait until the folks left tto go out and i could watch 'Love American Style', etc.

@rushguy515 I agree! I loved being a kid in the 70s too! Sunday nights now are just not what they were back then.

Sundays at home. Would watch the Steelers or Eagles with dad (we lived in Eastern Pennsylvania, but he was a Steelers fan. I became an apostate and went with the Black and Silver) and then Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. We both loved the games and the documentaries. Ah, the 70's. The Raiders were good and life was simple.

@rayssonation I forgot about "Bonanza", but by then it was almost bedtime for us school-aged kids.......
Sunday Nights on NBC growing up: GE College Bowl, Hanna-Barbera's Huckleberry Finn, Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdom & The Wonderful World Of Disney. All after a good Sunday family dinner. Enough to make a grown man cry. Life will never be that simple again.

Mutual Of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom" was a brilliant program during the heydays of the 1970's. I remember the show on Saturdays and Sundays as a young kid. A Brilliant 6!! Long Live Marlin Perkins!! Educational for everyone at home to see on television.
