The OBUTTO gaming cockpit does it all for me....not only do I get over a 4ft view of the games, but I can easily move from sim racing to shooters without the pain of moving my steering wheel out of the way. Well I have to lower it a bit but you get the idea ;) This is only my second day with a rally sim so be easy on me...heh :)

Oh ya I'm 6ft 2in tall by the way.

  • Awesome setup, but is requires considerable space. Is it possible to seperate the seat to use ist for other purposes also, like sitting on a table... I think this here is a smart idea for that problem... -->video: "selfmade playseat for GT5" or "F1 2010 on my playseat (SFS)"

  • @Saab9oo Hey Saab900 (great cars btw), actually the cockpit doesn't really take up alot of space. It's only around 60 inches long and not wide at all. Since it replaces a desk it actually takes up less space in a room.

  • For those considering this with the Microsoft Xbox 360 wheel, I have this setup and it does work with the mount. Just put a couple decks of cards in-between and it clamps nice and solid. The pedals stay put reasonably well too with all the rubber on the pedal plate.

  • @RandiRS4 Hey Randy, thanks for posting that up man :) thanks for clarifying!

  • hey Chris, i'm about to order cockpit with all the accessories. is it possible to get an additional steering mount? I want one for the table and one to hardmount my fanatec to. saw a video where the fanatecs don't clamp onto the mount very well. mainperformance PC said no go. any thoughts?

  • @CheebaAce1 Hey Cheeba (chris here), sry for the delay in replying but didn't see this here. Anyhow, no need for an extra mount. Your fanatec can hardmount to steering wheel mount or if you can just run the clamps. If you use clamps you just need to get a small block of wood, deck of cards or anything to act as a 1" spacer so your flat clamps have some surface area to rest against. If you get acrylic tabletop it attaches to the steering wheel mount so you can just mount your wheel on it.

  • @kalou27 Hey, hows the set up with 3x 27" monitors was thinking about going with something similar if I pick the cockpit up in a few months.

  • @iceman00088 great to hear it iceman :) enjoy the goodness!!

  • i git my obutto cockpit today man

its awesome having it thanks man

  • @cdapex ok i see, good looking out man:)

  • @farerse hey farerse, sry "cdapex" is my main google account name......same person though ChrisE30Cab = cdapex :)

  • @cdapex why do you reply on "ChrisE30Cab's" video??

  • @cdapex Thanks, that was the only thing I was concerned about. If Fanatec wheel won´t fit I can just buy a Fanatec wheel clamp or drill holes.

  • @mpower1001 hey man, we should have something along these lines available after the holiday season.

  • @Nefus1988 ck out the sim-racing page of the obutto site, then click the link that says -click here for Fanatec fitment tips

  • @Nefus1988 Hey man sry but we have no access to youtube in Beijng where I've been since May. Anyhow, pls note the drawn center line in that video was not actually in the center. There could be a few reasons why it was off though: seat was mounted slightly to one side, both knobs on the steering wheel mount were not tightened at the same time, or the seat sliders were shifter to one side where they bolt to the seat bottom.
