I read recently that the USA knew beforehand that the Argentines were going to invade the falklands, but they didnt inform us!!. It's disgraceful that our military is fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan to support these people. They are no friends of the UK!!!

the falklands war was a diplomatic headache for the USA. Arginetina was USA's top ally in south america. millions of dollars worth of arms was given to arginetina before the war. and the french gave arginetina 5 exocete missiles. arginetina put an order to purchase much more exocetes. luckily for the brits those weapons never made it to arginetina. however, the brits completed an excellent campaign. brit commanders were at the top of their profession.
