I swallowed a lot of playa dust this year and this is one of the videos I coughed up. Thank you to the insanely talented artists who brought so much beauty to our Metropolis, BRC!

here's part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJOXwcTrgLc

Song: Grow Till Tall
Artist: Jonsi

  • Mastahnick, I think I've seen almost all of your youtube videos. I started with all the Burning Man ones, because I miss HOME, and have to commend you on your excellent video taping, sound editing and video editing talents. You have an eye for beauty, cohesion and you've really captured the essence of your subject material. Really awesome. You're a wonderfully talented guy. Hope to meet you on playa some day.

  • @taywagner I just posted this comment to my facebook wall! it is the sweetest! thanks for making my day! yes, see you on the playa!

  • I'm the guy that's saying goodbye to his friend at 2:46. Thank you so much for capturing that moment. It means so much to me. That's what makes this my favorite BM video on youtube. :)

  • Thank you for this Video , I lived in BRC for BM 2011 and This was the video that convinvced me to go in the first place . I finally found my home . And look forward to seeing my HUGE new family in 2012 .

  • Yay for us, the citizens of Black Rock!

  • What a powerful video. I've got goosebumps and tears. It's beautiful. Thank you. :)

  • @shipsthatburn Who cares if some people are just there to party and act a fool? People should do that more often. Then there's all the other sides to this event. And that's what it is - an event - with different meaning to different people - all of which are perfectly valid. Going to an art gallery is boring and stuffy - often smacks of elitism. Seeing art like this -more "of the people" is uplifting and magnificent. That's why people have festivals like these all over the world.
