The bill you refer to is a yearly renewal of a law rammed through by Bush in 2001. It has to be renewed yearly or it will expire.

Since you weren't complaining about it in 2001 - 2010, are you choosing now to use the bill to drum up fear?

Obama swore he would never use the law to arrest Americans.

Evict the Party that created the law, the GOP. Vote for Democrats.

Yes, it's true it is renewed to fund the defense systems of the USA. The difference this time around is that, according to a number of Senators, Obama demanded that a new addition be added-- authorizing the President to abduct anyone and everyone, citizen or not, for any reason or no reason and murder or otherwise disappear them for as long as he wills
