ok. its your mean. I mean the the Touareg and the Q5 ar absolut different Cars. The Q5 will not available with the low speed option of the older Touareg or the Option from Touareg2010. Therefore the Q5 will have the Option of the 7-Speed DSG Gearbox. You even drive it? his will be very fine!!!

@ktosi11 Not true ... I think the Passat is based on the A6 platform (or A6 is based on the Passat platform).

Audi Q7, VW Toureg and Porsche Cayenne are all based on the same platform. I would say quality is about the same, but engine options, and interior/materials differentiate the cars from each other.

@carlitozik I don't get why you're insulting cars that use almost the same system. The Q5 is just on a similar platform as the Audi Q7 (touareg platform), except the Q5 uses haldex traction, and the Q7 uses quattro.
