10 fish hooked and 5 landed ranging from 220kg to 280kg (600lb +)

Hi,
There has been some hooked on jigs but they have been quickly lost more often than not the rod has snapped. My 273 kilo fish was landed in one hour on 130lb standup fishing 35kilos of drag on a custom built clastar 6455xxh.
We have no jig tackle available in new zealand that even comes close to being able to cope with these fish.
