Baby turtles born and return to the river

This is a video of a baby snapping turtle and his or her first time in the water. Its mom laid her eggs in a garden at plimoth plantation museum in Plymouth Massachsetts. You can see her laying the eggs by going to my blog called "As The Wetu Turns" and looking though my old post enjoy.

He seems a little lethargic unless he has already started hybernation and emerged to catch the last of the warm rays I would have been so tempted 2 keep him for the winter, fatten him up, and release him in the late spring Whatever wish I lived where I could view turtles on a Fall walk I've been in the area since I was a kid (too long ago to imagine - lol) and, back in the day could not walk w/o seeing frogs, Box and Wood turts, Snakes sunning themselves 50 yrs later they've dissapeared. 2 bad
