Stargunner was a side-scrolling shooter game done by Apogee Software in 1996. It was the last game that was published under the Apogee brand name. With pre-rendered 3D graphics and colorful backgrounds, you had to fly through three episodes and kill everything that moves. It has been re-released as freeware in 2005.

  • @TheChirpingAssholes Shame on you

  • Here you kids have THE most awesome game ever made.

  • Raptor is better. I hate this pre-rendered 3D shit. This is the only Apogee game I didn't play as a kid, and I'm glad I didn't.

  • @sesamestreetsquad Are you joking? Quake came out the same year, which had REAL 3D graphics.

  • Apogee was incredible.

  • EPIC Music and gameplay, miss the good ol' games

  • i remember trying to get this game working under windows 98. you had to click fullscreen before it started to work.

Im gonna try this again. I love new technologie. but sometimes its fun to get back to basics.

  • @yoshmaster5 that happened me too, don't worry, you can actually slow down your speed. I can't remember, but you must read a guide for dosbox. that's how I knew how to slow the game down

  • Man, this thing was addictive... legit shooter.

  • I just downloaded it, the problem is that with DOSBox, it runs at a turbo speed. I can't get it to run normally.
