Came across a small collection of JAZZ MAN label 78s featuring Lu Watters. Can't believe I waited over 6 months to get them posted. Anyway, here's MUSKRAT RAMBLE by Lu Watters Yerba Buena Jazz Band, recorded in 1941. Enjoy!
This record was recorded and issued by the JAZZ MAN RECORD SHOP in Hollywood. It was a southern California mainstay of jazz afficianados from 1939-1984. The records produced on this label feature some of the jazz greats of the period and helped define the West Coast Jazz style. Cool!
Oops didn't see this one. Wow you have a lot of interpretational recordings of this piece. Maybe you like this one better than the Pee Wee and Bechet versions?

Gotta go with Kid Ory. Search YouTube thus - cdbpdx muskrat - and see the Kid Ory version. (He wrote it)
