At 1500hrs Coplay and Whitehall were dispatched to 1131 Tapler Drive for a house fire. Upon arrival, chiefs found a service line to the house down over the street and heavy fire at the point where the electric service enters the house. Once crews managed to get a handline on the fire, it was quickly darkened down.

Coplay Engine 511 was first on scene followed by Whitehall Engine 13. A 2nd alarm was struck for more manpower. Whitehall Engines 4, 14 and Truck 6 were on the ticket for the 2nd alarm. Truck 6 crew went to the roof to ventilate while interior crews ripped down ceilings and checked for extension. PPL was called to disconnect electric service to the house. The fire was out in about 30 minutes.

  • Are you shitting me with the guys on the roof?! WTF?! I cringe just watching it. And the invisible SCBAs are AWESOME!

Why didnt the Coplay PD cruiser lay-in? Must've trained with Whitehall PD. I know I'm gonna catch hell for this, but: This is a cluster F()@% from start to finish. Thank God (AND LUCK!) nobody got hurt.

Newsworking: passing truck pull the line out/down?

    STAY SAFE!

  • It appears that the service line to the building burned off from the heavy amount of fire hitting it as the fire vented out of the window. I know your critical of the SCBA use but they did what they had to do and it appears they contained it to a room and contents job and they all came home safe.

  • They Must Not Need There Lungs Anymore

  • great use of scba, roof ladder and your brains. go back to the fire academy.

  • A lot of safety and operational issues in this video, please guys, take some creative criticism and practice safe ventilation practices before somebody gets hurt. SCBA, proper hand tools and vent -get off the roof.

  • vent the roof and get off it. that was a pritty piss poor of a job

  • were they even trying to put the fire out? they had like 5 guys without packs on the roof trying to vent it didnt even finish their vent hole and were just chillin on the roof.

  • i look pretty.

  • if that is constructive than I am a millionaire and that I am not. we are a truck company and did everything the proper way with not one but two roof ladders along with everything that was needed to do the job and stay safe if things went bad. why don't you post some of your department so they could receive constructive comments.

  • I will comment on whatever I want thanks, and my comments are related only to what is shown in the video. My first post was constructive, I made suggestions to help you guys work safer, but since you can't deal with criticism then maybe should ask people not to post videos of you. This video will continue to draw negative feedback so get used to it.

  • IF you where not there to see everything than how can you comment, you are not gods gift to firefighting, so use these forums in a constructive manner or just stop watching.
