Bio: John Daniel Scott Jr Born in Yonkers, New York and relocated to Decatur, Alabama in 2000.




High School: Prepped at Austin High School for Joe Gaddis...was a honorable mention All-State selection as a junior and senior...was an All-Region performer for two seasons...team finished 9-2 his junior season and lost in the first round of the AHSAA state playoffs...also lettered in basketball and helped the Black Bears to a regional championship.




JSU CAREER: 2004 Saw action in 10 of 11 games for the Gamecocks at nose guard and had three starts. recorded his first career sack against UT-Chattanooga. finished with an interception in the regular season finale against Southeast Missouri State University.




2005: Saw action in all 11 games for the Gamecocks in his sophomore season, pulling the starting nod at UAB on Sept 17..finished the year with 21 tackles, 13 solo, including two behind the line of scrimmage, one sack and four quarterback hurries...tallied a season-high four tackles twice, and against Tennessee-Martin on Oct. 15 and against Tennessee Tech on Oct 27...had a pair of hurries vs. Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 1 and at Tennessee State on Oct. 22 also had a sack in the EKU game, with his other tackle for loss at Samford on Nov. 12.




2006: Appeared in 10 of the Gamecocks' 11 games a junior and earned the starting nod each time. recorded 23 tackles, 17 solos, including three for a loss and one sack...also broke up two passes. tallied four tackles in a game three times, at UT-Martin on Sept 23, against Tennessee State on Oct 21 and Chattanooga games. picked up his lone sack of the season against Tennessee State, a game in which he broke up his first pass of the year.




2007: Started in all 11 games for the Gamecocks in his Senior season...recorded 53 tackles, 41 solos, including seven for a loss and one sack...also had six quarterback hurries...tallied eight tackles in a game twice at Alabama State on September 1, and against Memphis University on September 15. He was voted team captain by his teammates, also voted to the Ohio Valley Conference First Team Defense voted by the coaches of the conference, and 2007 Sports Network All-American Honorable Mention.

Arena Football League 2:




2008: Started in all 16 games at the Nose Guard for the Rio Grande Valley Dorado's...In his rookie season he recorded 32 tackles, 17 solos, including 12 for a loss, 7 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 1 interception, and 1 touchdown. He also won ADT Defensive Player of the game and Af2 player of the week against Oklahoma City Yard Dawgs with 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.




2009: Saw action in three games for the Tennessee Valley Vipers...Recorded 3 tackles and 1 sack. Did not play the rest of the season due to personal reasons.




2009: Signed a contract to play for the Tulsa Talons Arena Football 1.




2010- Started for the Talons and tallied 3.5 sacks. Recorded a 1.5 sacks and a touchdown against the Dallas Vigilanties. Also recorded two sacks against Bossier Shreveport.

2010- Signed to the Omaha Beef started one game recorded two sacks vs Witchita Wild.
