Great vid mate. I bought the Honda CB400, I think its great fun. There is no limiter on it and its LAMS approved. I did a video on it too /watch?v=ZNP5xR6J6EU

You talk way too much about the ECU. You needed to talk about all the things you like about it as you are riding. Look at mcnews uk and see how they do their videos. Camera is nice though, thanks!

I just purchased this bike a week ago and took delivery from A1 Motorcycles in Brighton (VIC) yesterday. Thus far I am more than satisfied with the comfort and ride quality of this model for my first bike. Plenty of handling, comfortable riding position and excellent acceleration in the low range to get you out of trouble. Still running the new engine in but I'm still smiling 12hrs after I last rode it.
Excellent video there chromerium. Keep up the good work!

G'day mate, how is the bike going now? I just ordered mine in yesterday, hopefully it will be here next week. Just wondering how well this restricted model picks up speed off the traffic lights? To get away from the other traffic? Thanks

@chromerium hummm but they are pretty much the same bike tho so you should be able too

@Conze22 Nope. Its in the ECU.
How do you find it goes, does it hold highway speeds nicley?

@billant88 It'll do 110 comfortably, but theres not much extra in it if you need to get around something in a hurry. The fastest I've had it going is 150 on a track, lighter riders might get it going a little faster, but that takes a long time to get to.
The frustrating thing is that on an unrestricted bike, you can drop a gear or two to put it into the powerband and use that to your advantage when you need to overtake something, with the restricted version you have to use the low down torque.

so does the restricted ECU limit the BHP to half ?
because this bike should make 80BHP right ?

@GOBbluthagain BHP is measured at peak. Not sure what the LAMS model puts out at peak; it has no peak to speak of.
What it does is flatten out the power and torque once you hit about 5.5k revs. Instead of it going mental, it just gently accelerates until you can't anymore.
