@jewishwarrior666 - I like to form my own opinions, references please. (Not about the new stuff - wars about oil and turf, I'm interested in learning about the the origions of religions, so I can make up my own mind. I really have no idea, but if the Dalai Lama is a hypocrite, surely it's because he knows his religion wouldn't survive under Chinese rule, so he is trying to tack it on to the strongest democracy - America 'so long as it isn't Islamic' that he can find.
Jewishwarrior666 (what a proper number for you) no wonder your account was suspended. You spew nothing but venom and hate. Such a bizarre reaction considering the holocaust. The downfall of Tibet to the Maoist regime is really no different, except thankfully millions of lives weren't lost. I feel sorry for you. You have no empathy for those that suffer similar circumstances and judge a man you know nothing about. Cutting noses off, I have done my research and you are simply delusional.
I just don't understand the animosity towards a man that won the Nobel Peace Prize, a man that sacrificed his childhood, albeit without his consent, to serve as the 13th Dalai Lama. He was forced out of his homeland because of his position imposed upon him. He has done the best he can to preserve his heritage, only to be mocked by those that don't even have a clue about the oppression from China. So sad. So many monks died defending this heritage and culture. Jewishwarrior you are the hypocrite.
@sunam11 Um perhaps you should attend school, it should be "you don't know anything". I'm sure Ann surpasses you in knowledge, intelligence, and most of all open mindedness.
It saddens me what counts for adult maturity these days! How can so many people be fooled by this wolf in shepherds clothing! The man was a slave owner and ruled over a people who practiced dismemberment and cutting off of noses for heaven sakes! He talks of non violence however has supported every american war!!!! Fuck the dalai lama and his hypocrisy!
China needs to recognize the legitimacy of the Tibetan people's
aspiration to protect the integrity of their language, culture and identity. Although Beijing recognizes Tibetan language and culture formally, policies in Tibet still undermine the survival of that identity. Beijing
could allow Tibetan to be the language of primary education as well
as introducing it in the governmental and public services in the Tibetan-speaking areas.
The dalai lama may not have directly coordinated the riot which resulted in 180 deaths however as their leader I find it hard to believe that he didn't know they were planning the riot. Words out of his own mouth " just make it non violent". That's why he got so mad when his fanatics in tibet started killing people and then threatened to quit if they didn't stop....feeling of guilt perhaps. He's also directly supporting the suppression of shugden practicianers. Hypocrite!
The Denver Post was contacted today, attention Mrs. Susan Green. Ann Curry who likes to touch me at the 2009 DNC convention might like to know about it.
