  • This is so awesome! I've been wanting try my hand at real foam sculpture for a long time. Right now i just sulpt basic shapes for fur costumes. What do you guys generally use to harden it?

  • Well the stuff we were doing at Bay Foam was mostly for architectural type facades and movie sets so the exterior services were usually ether a polyurethane or a concrete and latex mixture.

You can of cores get creative and use lots of stuff, the auto industries use epoxy on foam and it all really depends on the end product.

Thanks for the question and please feel free to ask questions or comment any time you want

  • OMG these are awesome. PLZ help. I need to make a life size egg crate, large enough for people to get into. It's for a costume contest at a volleyball trnmt in FL at the end of April. Using foam is the only way I can see to do it. Any ideas? Know anybody in LA or FL who might want to make some money constructing it? I'll try to do it myself but I don't even know what kind of foam or even if I have to buy one big piece or several small pieces. Help.

  • Beautifulwork! Most people have no idea how versatile foam is!
