@327Adam It sets the damper on or off so that key plucks either resound or are muted. Professional harpsichordists please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the harpsichord is the best instrument it kinda like a guitar but with keys

Not really, Apocalyptica is a terrible example and they're not very good.
