jazz is the only true american artform and i think its a musical style that will never be forgot, considering it is the most important staple in modern music. It is also the only type of music you have to react and have the abiltiy to feel what your bandmates are doing and what they are leading to. All other music is restricted to repetetion and performance is really just rehersal. In jazz, performance is comepletely up for grabs, it is the most free music there is.

Herbie doesn't age. Good music does that to you. Herbie is also one of the greatest guys in music. A true Gentleman and a great musician. One of the biggest musical influences of my life.
