UWF Student Life Video

UWF President Judith Bense announced Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011 that the University of West Florida is committed to enhancing student life and the traditional collegiate experience for students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community.

As part of the vision for enhanced student life, Bense charged Athletic Director Dave Scott and SGA President Josh Finley to explore implementation of the Athletic Visioning Plan, which includes adding intercollegiate football at UWF.

Was this video and the graphic designing made by UWF students? I am majoring in Communication arts and this is just fascinating and would like to to learn how to make such a quality video. I do agree that we need more parking before we build on more buildings though.

@AirbrushMerc The University was given money as part of the president's economic stimulus plan. There were specific rules attached to that money that limited what the University could do with it. What would you suggest they do with the money? Do you have any alternatives that you can offer?

Given the rules, about the only thing they could do was build buildings, so that's what they're doing. They'll have new buildings, and in the coming years, the University will grow into them.

Say goodbye to the small university feel. This actually makes me physically sick.

I really like the university the way it is, but it's growing too fast. Where are all these new people going to park? So now we'll have to get rid of the trees that give the campus that park-like feel. I am SO happy I am graduating and won't be around to see all of this.
