NOTE: I have no idea who the Café Lafayette Orchestra was, but - who cares? The interpretation is nice, the tune is lovely, and - aren't lovely those mostly-forgotten film goddesses of the Twenties..?

  • I only know he was a muscian and bandleader active in Los Angeles in the 1920's, mainly recording for Brunswick. That's about all. But as you say, who cares, this is such a pretty version.
