Anita Page just passed away last month at the age of 98. She was still doing movies in 2007. What a woman!

I only know he was a muscian and bandleader active in Los Angeles in the 1920's, mainly recording for Brunswick. That's about all. But as you say, who cares, this is such a pretty version.
