3D anaglyph video (red/cyan and red/blue compatible) of a simulation of jets forming in a black hole accretion disk. These simulations were performed on the General Relativistic Magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) fluid dynamics code Cosmos++ by Dr. P. Chris Fragile and Chris Lindner at the College of Charleston, Charleston, SC, USA. • Great simulation !.

What software do you use to perform the animation movie ?

    Great work!

  • The simulation was performed with the Cosmos++ GRMHD code. The visualization was performed with VisIT.

  • simply amazing!

but...why did you use a general relativistic code? is the magnetic field represented by lines?

  • Considering we're simulating relativistic jets and black holes, GR sims are really the way to go to accurately simulate these flows. Yes, the lines here represent magnetic field lines that originate near the event horizon. I will post a color version of this video soon to better illustrate what's going on here. Thanks for watching!
