Alternative Break Tour - Service at the North Texas Food Bank

After an overnight drive from Tulsa to Dallas, we served at the North Texas Food Bank salvaging, sorting, and boxing up food as a part of the Close the Gap campaign. We boxed 10,774 pounds of food. At 1.28 pounds of food per meal, this equates to 8,417 meals. These boxes will be shipped out immediately directly to families in need, not distributed through another agency.
