is the second section of the solo supposed to be counted in quintuplets? I've heard a couple people play it as
D--dd-d-d-D--dd-d-d-
1-2-3-4-5- 1-2-3-4-5-
I heard this in the Essa Pekka Salonen recording as well as the man in my orchestra.

Chapman University is a private 4 year university in Orange County, CA
The Chapman School of Music has on its faculty many of the top players from the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Pacific Symphony.
