http://littlefish.com.au Best NASA footage of last launches edited into one amazing sequence from lift off to orbit. From the great power of the crawler tractors, to astronauts emerging as duty calls, to amazing rocket launch and take off, to earth orbit footage, to the international space station, to astronauts in space, summarized in one inspirational video (I hope!) - Especially as Curiosity Rover launch form planetary mission to Mars is so close. The Mars Rovers are great!
IMO great classical music best for a fantastic voyage! Elgar Symphony No 1. Great "theme song" is powerful music (powerful stuff, epic music, perhaps inspirational music!) which matches the grandeur of the blast off yet becomes peaceful music to represent earth orbit. Despite the Challenger disaster and Columbia disaster, the US can be proud of the shuttle program's amazing achievements -- like the International Space Station, Hubble and so on. American rocket power!
All credit to JPL NASA! JPL NASA videos are usually fantastic footage. So of course, this is all non-commercial and follows the spirit of how NASA wants its materials used. Very open and good policy for making public and use of their great photos and multimedia presentations.
To put things in perspective: The total budget for all NASA programs in 2010 was around 20% of the value of the US Pet industry! 20c in $.
Awesome power! Music fits good to the action. At about 1.10 looks like ice coming off the boosters?
