Today's major political parties do not understand true conservative principles. Part of the cause for this is contemporary politicians do not know what the basis for the conservative movement is, or was, at the start of American history. Few resources and teachers today know what the history of the conservative movement is—how it got to where it is today. We can make sense of the conservative movement if we look at these three things: the movement's values, funding, and media. We look at these three points throughout the course of American history to get better understanding of the movement.

In this video, Gary DeMar interviews Dr. North (in six parts) about his brand new DVD series "The History of the Conservative Movement" (available now at AmericanVision.com). This is part one of the six parts of this interview.

  • @LiberalVichy also a quote..

"God is plowing up the modern world. This is softening the Establishment's resistance to many new ideas and movement, among which Christian Reconstruction is barely visible at present. This is good for us now; we need the noise of contemporary events to hide us from humanist enemies who, if they fully understood the long-term threat to their civilization that our ideas post, would we wise to take steps to crush us." - Gary North

    Humanist enemies = secular society

  • @LiberalVichy google - Invitation to a Stoning - an article at Reason dot com who are real libertarians.

This video is from the American Vision website; their "vision" is "An America that recognizes the sovereignty of God over all of life, where Christians apply a Biblical worldview to every facet of society."

also google - gary north christian reconstructionist

  • @twosquirrelly

North isn't a theocrat, he's a libertarian. He's also a Calvinist, which pretty much means he doesn't think the non-elect are bound to follow Biblical law. Please know what you are talking about before you do so :)

  • @twosquirrelly

    that seem harse

  • Haha

Gary North? The moron who took it upon himself to trump up the Y2K scare to try to collapse the economy, in some kind of last ditch effort to install his sick/twisted version of a christian dominionist theocracy.

This is what conservatism has come to.

    Sad
