I have gone to Edisto Beach for over 20 years. If you want excitement, go elsewhere.
If you want to relax and let the day pass as it will in a beautiful location, go to Edisto.
Take a book and read on the beach or just watch the birds and dolphins play...You will not regret it.
One word of caution, obey the speed limit! There is no reason to speed on the island.....if you do they will let you know. Just enjoy a pace of life like no other in SC.

Isn't it great? Camped there in the state park, and then stayed in rentals. Lovely!

Oh I am soooo jealous! I miss Edisto so much! Spent all my summers there as a child. In fact my family is from edisto and surrounding islands! Visit the Kings Fruit and vegetable stand you will love it!Hope to retire there one day.

my family used to spend at least two weeks there every summer, never enough! Now that we are old and can't walk much, we don't go, but we have these lovely pictures. Hope you get to retire there, dear.
