We go over how Synchronic BOV works. Port by port, what the different port combinations will perform like when setup that way. This is the first in a definitive multi-part series to cover the function of the Synchronic BOV from Synapse Engineering.

  • The Synchronic line of products are available by registering at SYNAPSEENGINEERING*COM/CART, use referral code YOUTUBE when you register and be eligible for limited edition designs and market pre-releases

  • i wouldnt dare fit that to my car, if you rip "port c" your basically fucked

  • Do tell, how you would be fucked without port c? You wouldn't be leaking boost.

  • Also, never cap a port that isn't being used. Just vent it to atmosphere. If you're concerned about dirt because you're off-roading, or rallying. run a hose to the port, and then somewhere that dirt can't get to.

  • i connected my port C to a T connector going to my WG thats coming from my EBC, is that the correct way to get a boost only?

Also just leave port B VTA?

    Great solid product!

    Thanks

  • If a port is not being used, always VTA the port. A good place for boost-only is anywhere between the discharge of the compressor and the throttle plate. On the EVO, there should be a nipple on the turbo's dicharge tube that used to go to the wastegate actuator.

  • So I have A+B and port C not connected what will this do??

  • @cookman283 if you have a good turbo it should last threw it but if port c is cut then yes it sounds like you will surge and that can damage a turbo over time.

  • Can you explain to us the revised version of this. I received mine in the mail and installed it last night and there is no longer a port C (for the boost) Only port A and B coming off the back. I installed those lines to a vacuum source leading into the intake manifold.

So far my impressions of the product are very good. It is made with precision and looks and feels like a quality piece of technology. I look forward to having it installed on my vehicle.

    Thanks

  • damm i didn';t understand A B or C oh well.

  • with the new Port C delete bov's, do the other two ports (A&B) in the back still go straight to the intake manifold? Or what?

  • This pretty much explained nothing... If I was a person who knew nothing about BOVs, then this would make absolutely no sense.

  • @synaptic1 its obvious you just demonstrated it won't release the pressure which is the point of a bov

  • Love the SDL.

  • yee but the whistling is soooo gay!!
