Kamado lid alignment. Use two washers in thickness equal to the disparity between lid and base.

Fit one disc in the lid hinges, and the other on the opposite side of the hinge in the base hinge.

    Hi

The kick ass handle is homemade.

I have a workshop where I can do what I want in stainless steel.

The music is a part of Sony's video editing program...

I love the video. I have watched it a number of times. I get the side to side alignment, but I agree that I am not quite getting the front to back. How does loosening the lid from the hinge, manually moving the hinge and then tightening the lid back to the hinge fix the front to back alignment? Unless some adjustment is made to the hinge itself isn't everything going to just fall back the same way? Great video - love the handle. If you would sell me one of these I would definitely buy it.

I think he skipped a step. When I followed the video, the lid moved right back into the previous place.

The second time, I loosened the top band and the hinge. After getting the lid in the right position, I had a kid sit on the lid while I tightened the band and the hinge back. Lines up perfectly now.

I too am confused as to how the hinge adjustment works? It would seem the springs would just pull everything back into its original position.

Thanx for the music info...I can understand the sideways motion with the washers...but don't understand the magic with the forward and backwards movement without washers. i figure the hinge assembly is going to put it where it wants to. Hmmmm! Magic?
