Probably most beautiful song of this band, absolutely amazing ballad about sorrow and misery

Lyrics:

Silence is born from sorrow
eternal seem the ages now
since we grew
in the garden of longing

Wind sang of loneliness

Touched, my soul was
from the winds weeping
a forlorn melody
so grievous
and touching

Wind sang of loneliness

I was the weeper
in the garden of wonder
longing to be by your side
Tears that made me stronger
hastened your withering
the stars were closing their eyes
as you were cold and I was breathing

Wind sang of my loneliness

  • @mazhammer Hmm, for me voice of the singer fits perfectly to the song's mood. Lyrics regard to unbelievable pain and suffering, they're talking about death of a person who was most close to singer's heart. I think that Throes of Down wanted it to sound like this, because vocalist sounds like extremely broken man, who uses his last breath to say those words. Well, it's my opinion, I like those growls, and I miss them on the newest album

  • @mazhammer You know, I hate when people say that. Personally, I always think the opposite when listening to metal, "why did they put a singer with a smooth voice in this song written about deep conflict?" I love the sound of growling and visceral screams. If you had to think of the sorrow of losing someone you loved (like this song's lyrics described), you wouldn't get in tune like FIGARU FIGARU, you'd just want to scream in pain if it's that deep of a feeling. That's why screaming is used.

  • @6dark6alex6 I completely agree with you

  • this is is an english speaking band rite?

  • @krennosur They're Finnish band, but they sing in english

  • @HerveGamerDude the growling goes in the way of the other instruments, instead of hearing music all i hear is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • @CmdkyL how am i a dickhead when at least i can respect others music taste? what is wrong with guttural growling huh? give me one legitimate reason. its not even worth trying because you can't you fucking poser. and that doesnt sound like diarrhea.

  • @HerveGamerDude shut the fuck up you dickhead, im a metalhead too and listen to A LOT of bands and he is right, the guitar is perfect in this song, but the vocals sound like someone has diarrhea, god i hate death metal..

  • Oo

  • @mazhammer FUCK OFF METAL HATER!

  • This is so beautiful! Although I love metal I'm not a big fan of growling and screaming but i think in this song it's used so well!

  • OBVIOUSLY MAZHAMMER ISN'T A MUSICIAN, I CAN'T STAND PPL WHO LISTEN TO MUSIC JUST FOR THE VOCALS AND LYRICS, DUDE THE MUSIC AS A WHOLE IS THE VOICE OF THE BAND. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO LISTEN TO VOCAL MARKETED MAINSTREAM MUSIC THEN...

  • better if was nicely sang

  • @ThatOneB1tchHanna Personally i think the vocalist makes it even better!" It fits perfectly!"

  • Maybe it's right that the screaming fits to the song and singer's mood, still, when I listen to music, I'd like to listen to MUSIC, and not to someone screaming in pain.
