@MariaQPB Because they try hard to be white. We rename the language spoken by americans, Brits and Many more Indians the International Business language ( IBL) .
Tamil has a longer history ,Sinhalese also. We Srilankans are proud of our languages . We embrace Rahula , Arumuga Navalar. ( Srilanka has issued a postage stamp to commemorate Navalar.
Be proud of Tamil Srilankan heritage instead of hailing the opium traders, worlds first drug dealers.

Other good tamils speak Tamil in Srilanka, Srilankans tamils, sinhalese and tamil muslims dis like licking englishmans boots the way eelam -peelam tamils do.
