Jason Wilber peforms an entirely original song and rap about his years at Downingtown West High School.
Mr. West is a "Ms. America" esque pageant in which the senior guys compete for the title "Mr. West" in three categories: Swim wear, Formal wear, and Talent. Jason placed second in the competition.

Yo
D-town WEST is where Ive made my home
For the last four years I wasnt alone
I had my family, parents, teachers and friends
And although this journey is about to end
Whether freshman sophomore junior or senior,
I had the best time - they gotta believe ya
When they say Downingtown is the best of all
They were right let me hear ya give that call
I said W! (W)
E! (E)
S! (S)
T! (T)
Now that weve started this thing off right
Its gonna go down, gonna be so tight
Lets start with some teachers, here in this building
That have made my education, oh so fulfilling
They made my time here so much more of a journey
First off lets start with Mr. Kearney!
The tall guy teaching sociology
His class freakin rocks and we all know that he
Is straight up ballin with his little son ben
He rocks the house and then
We got Sheehan teaching physics in the science hallway
His class is tight, let me hear you all say
That Michael J. Sheehan is the boss
(even though I heard a rumor that he doesnt floss)
Well right next door we got Lacey the man
He wears cool shirts and loves spiderman
Hes got fly kicks and hes seven feet tall
(I hear they dont do nothing in his classes at all)
Lets take it to the English wing with Ms. Kijewski
All the sophomores hit on her but then shes
Talking on her iphone or in the mini cooper
Shes fly, no lie, straight up cool.
We got Mrs. Mapes who youll remember
When youre headed off to college next September
She taught us life lessons that well never forget,
Like a second grandmother, shes legit.
Down to the science hallway almost
Mr. Nowaks in the corner, hes smarter than most
Hes got advice for your everyday query
But with the sawdust everywhere, its blurry
Mr. Krusen too with his slip on vans
Hawaiian shirts but no class-plans
Just listen to his music and hell be your friend
Teach? Nah, but till the end
All the teachers at D-west give their all
And theyre there to catch you when you fall
They gave me the education I need
To go out in the world, and succeed
Alright, its time for the administration shout out.
Nodecker, Bruton, Indeglio and Bell,
Theyre all so nice but theyll send you to heaven,
When you accumulate, six or seven
Saturday detentions, dont mention the fact that
Indeglios name is Zero Gravity
If youre in trouble with him, what a tragedy
Bruton on the announcements continually
Does he ever stop? No you will see
That by the time first period is halfway through
Hes still talking sports and juggernauts too
Hell talk your ear off until youre blue
So senior year, here we are
Graduating high school, how bizarre
But weve made some memories here at west
Thatll last forever, cause theyre the best
Well, most of them if you dont count that party
That pretty much turned into malarkey
But back to the good ones like clash of the classes
Seniors dominate! we kicked their (asses)
Soccer State Champs its unbelievable
Another juggernaut, inconceivable!
And weve still got senior week and prom
To look forward too, (and your mom)
Ill never forget you, D-town west
And D-town west you are the best
So one more time, for your alma mater
Repeat after me now, you gotta!
When I say D, you say West!
D (WEST!)
D (WEST!)
When I say Mr., you say West!
Mr. (WEST!)
Mr. (WEST!)
Alright, its been real. Remember I AM Mr. West. J-dawg out!
Despite accusations that this song was jipped off of the legendary Ryan DeNardo, this song is, in fact, 100% Original.
Thank you for all the encouragement everyone!
