Bathurst 2007: Fujitsu Race 1 restart crash

The Esses again, this time on a restart two cars try and go side by side over brack skyline heading into the esses, the hit, one goes into the wall to the left and the other flyes over the gravel trap and looses his front spoiler.

haha, I'm in that vid, im the guy thats standing at the third coates sign!!! It was a really lame stack but still good it was caught on video. Geez it sounds awesome when it's reving....don't know why he didnt jus' flick spin though..did well to grab reverse in those gearboxes...

he must of bent somthing in the rear, and then boged it into the sand so he couldnt just flick spin it, was a good crash tho lol

A V8 Supercar has a gear box which makes it very hard to select reverse. The gear stick has to be lifted up pushed away from the driver and then to the right.

Sometimes it takes nearly a minute to select it.

Although, looking at the footage again, it looks like he just depressed the clutch and let it roll back.
