This song proves that Bowie had the FUNK!

One of my favorite tracks as well. Heard it played in a club way back in the day. The DJ looped the end with Bowie singing "Arabia" and played it for about ten minutes. The crowd went insane. It was awesome!

@goboogsiego Eno was particularly fond of hand-claps.

@SuperDiamondDogs he was bisexual in the 70's though, i dont know if he was pretending to be just for the sake of being controversial or if he actually was, but i guess he must've just been trying it out because he is as you say married to Iman...not that it matters particularly, i even used to worry that i might be gay lol
-
@andrew19vato but here's the thing.... he's not gay, he IS married to Iman... all things about him being gay back in the 70's was just because of the Ziggy Stardust persona and his cocaine addiction.

i love this song, still i dont see the relation between berlin and arabia but bowie must watch something in his head to do it and it really worked.thats what i call to have an style.bowie style LOL is awesome

maybe im just weird but i really love the fact that bowie is gay, it make his music more flamboyant and enjoyable...and i love the way he sings!!

I was about 14, when I discovered the album "heroes" and was very flattered by that: I've never heard music like that before. "The secret life of arabia" is a great song. It's living, it's full of pictures. If you know what I mean.. Thanks for posting this lovely video!
Silly Song

I wouldn't expect a Gen Y person to understand the concept of creative music. Poor you, 21 and clueless!!!

You're very welcome! You have a great style. I'm so glad you included that Glamour painting from the Scary Monsters Pierrot picture series. That poster is so cool. Have you ever seen footage of him from his appearance on Saturday Night Live in 1979 with Klaus Nomi? I was a freshman in college when that show aired and I was just completely mesmerized by his performances.

@Crussell12
I have INDEED seen the performance he did with Klaus Nomi on Saturday Night Live with "The Man Who Sold The World".
I 101% agree that it's mesmerizing! It keeps getting taken off You Tube but apparently it may be appearing on future Saturday Night Live DVD releases! ... It's criminal it isn't available anywhere!
I do have a copy but I am not allowed to post it :-(
