Cute Baby Rat Stealing Blueberries

Lightfoot as a baby stealing some blueberries. Rats as babies are called kittens for those who don't know. They make lovely pets and are an absolute join to own. Completely different from gerbils and hamsters, they are more like a cross between a cat and a dog in terms in what they offer you. He loved his food so much. Lightfoot will always be a funny fatty in our eyes.

@43Coda ik and i under stand that but people shouldnt try to tell other people how to take care of your animals i know that people have sugjestyions but that doesnt meen they should atack someone about how to take care of there animals and to all the fucking know it alls some cases differ

@Amy8496 ...actually, rats specifically (not gerbils or hamsters in general) need a companion. Rats are more social pack animals than others, and that's why they are saying you should at least have 2 rats; it's in their nature to be around other rats and constantly interact with them. My friend was looking at getting a rat and all the rat rescues and the SPCA said that they wanted to adopt out in pairs because of this. Pet stores sell them in singlets just to make it more affordable/ more money.

@opalshuman  be cause people are stupid and think you have to have 2 of every thing and btw i have ONE gerbil are he is very happy by himself i tryed to get 2 and he hated it so NOT EVERY THING HAS TO HAVE A PARTNER

@youtakeawaymyoxygen get two, rats need company. actually, get a trio if you can, that way when one dies the other one isn't lonely. my rat Charles was alone after his cage mate Enstin died, and it was a dissaster, i had to keep bringing him out so he wouldn't get lonely. Rats need company mainly because they are in cages half of the day. free roam rats though are ok in singles to my knowledge. thats sucks your last two didn't like each other, but it happens.
