My best memory of this show was in the very first episode, I think. The husband comes home and he asks why the wife is sweating and tired, she replied that no matter how hard she swept, the dirt would not leave the floor, so she just decided to quit. The husband gave her a " you idiot" look and told her "Well, honey, this is because we have a dirt floor". Classic!

A small grammar lesson, if you will: An "ex-patriot" is one who used to love his (or her) home country; an "expatriate" is one who has left his (or her) home country. I suspect you meant "expatriate."

Tracey Walter's character name was: Frog Rothchild Jr.

The show wasn't very good, but was worth watching because Frog had some of the funniest lines in television history. The rest was terrible.

Parker Tillman must have been something of a come-down for Frey: He played the tailor Motel in the 1971 movie "Fiddler on the Roof"; in the original Broadway production in 1964 he played Mendel, the Rabbi's son.

No one I know remembers this. It was a great show, but it was never repeated & impossible to find on DVD, unless you know better!
