We now goes from the rail trail to the C&O canal and head north. We are on the towpath that goes from Georgetown in Washington DC to Cumberland, MD, 185 miles. We are at mile 136. We come to a aqueduct that is being held together, as it is weak due to age and storms. You can see a trestle for the WMD RR that someday will be open to walking and riding. Much of the fencing on the aqueduct is original from the 1800s.
