This station was closed in 1945 and is only accessible via tours sponsored by the NYC Transit Museum. This station was opened in 1904 as the Jewel in the Crown.
The train coming through is the 6 Train after stopping at Brooklyn Bridge. It is now turning around via the only loop in the NYC system and will return back to Brooklyn Bridge.
it's not the ONLY loop, south ferry, inner loop and outer loops are the only ones i know of

This station reminds me of something you would see in Bioshock or something. The architecture is very artdeco.

@parejopinto could it have been the Japanese subways gas attack that changed the plans?

It was closed because it was built on a heavy curve. The original trains only had doors at the end of each car so they were at the platform. Putting doors toward the middle of cars made the gap too big.
