@draxx77 Agreed, LOL!
-
@Belburg Ok, he'd hang with Marvin for four rounds then be put to sleep. Agreed?
-
@draxx77 I know Marvin was the man, but a motivated Dwight could definitely hang with him.Unfortunately, he wasn't all that movitated.

@Belburg You jest right? Dwight Davidson giving Hagler a good fight? I think that YOU need to go back and review Hagler's fighting skills.
-
contract with King, he resurfaced in January 1986, but lost an eight round decision to Charlie Boston. Between the Sibson loss in '82 and the loss to Boston he only fought like five times without a loss. Surely he could have had some sort of crossroads fight in 84 or 85 but it never happened. He rotted on Don King's shelf.

Dwight shouldl've took on Frank Fletcher, or even Mustafa Hamsho.If he was right, he could've won those matches.I could see him giving Marvin Hagler a good fight.

Contrary to his 85% KO rate Parker was not a real big puncher.

Davison did not win that fight with Scypion. He knocked Scypion down in rd 1 and then got out hustled in every rd after that and lost the decision. Almost as if it was fixed. Almost all of Davison's losses were due to a lack of fire and activity. Scypion, Epps and Sibson.
His career was ostensibly over after the Tony Sibson loss in a WBC title eliminator. A head scratcher as he certainly had the physical talent to beat Robbie Epps and Sibson.

Davison was an oddity in that he was an '80s Detroit fighter who didn't train at Kronk. He had a big right hand and was tall and lanky so perhaps the Hearns comparisions were appropriate. Davison had the physical tools but lacked the fire and competitiveness to take it further than he did.
