I bet none of you will believe me, but my dad sold merch at the Wayne Hancock show last night here in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the Botanical Gardens. Wayne Hancock came to my house after the show until 7 this morning. He saidned my guitar and put a $20 bill in my high e string. We talked about how he wrote this song, and how he wrote Johnny Law. If you don't beilve me ask him when he comes to your house. Ask him about the Mule, and his music playin' kids.

No. Wayne wrote it. I got my Tulsa CD booklet out to check: "All songs written by Wayne Hancock; Pithc A Jingle Music (ASCAP)"

I'm not calling you or Shelton a liar but, this one was penned by Wayne.
