THE MISAPPROPRIATION OF HIP-HOP-Short Version

Having spent the last 28 years as an active participant in Hip-Hop - both as a performer (DJ), and as a mentor to youngsters in the culture personally and professionally, I have been an eye-witness to the gradual desertion of Hip-Hops original spirit and purpose.It is my hope that by reflecting on Hip-Hops legacy, I will help in some small way to re-establish the culture to its proper place as a complex and vibrant entity in the eyes of both the participant and the casual observer.
