latgalians dialect is close to lithuanian and that is languege between latvian and lithuanian,latvian languege is litlle stronger and latgalian is softer like lithuanian,that is like couronian people are speaking shorter and may words are like cut in end.

And it is no surprise since Latgalian is older version of Latvian (although now heavily influenced by Latvian and loses its uniqueness).
