  • Such animosity between allies?

Both US and UK suffered over 400,000 fatalities in WW2. UK and ComWlth kept Hitler at bay and had major victories beating Rommel in Africa, sinking Bismarck etc

US came along. Added machinery and muscle and - together - we liberated France. We can argue all day about timing but sacrifice, however late, is better than none. Sarkozy doesnt speak for all France. Hes a politician sucking up to Obama. The intelligent French remember the UK as well as US.

  • I'm sure...Frenchs Peoples will alwys remember of All UK and US soldiers, and they have a big respect on it !

  • What the hell has any of this to do with D-Day?

  • Sorry, you got it wrong. Anyone is welcome, provided you live as we live, and not dictate to us what we should be doing in our own country..... Oh yeah and do some work instead of claiming benefits off our social security system.

  • yeah and those koreans have only been able to get british citizenship THIS YEAR. the great british yeah.. you can fight and die for them but you cant live here.. the greatest in the world NOT.

  • This memorial features the names of ***ALL*** of the British, Australian, Belgian, French, Norwegian, New Zealand, and Canadian soldiers who died on June 6th cast in bronze along the center walls, plus statues of Churchill, Montgomery, Leigh-Malory and more!
