  • Not many people realise the Honour Guard at JFK`s graveside were 37th Cadet Class of the Irish Army. It was the only time a sovereign army was invited to carry out such an event on US soil. There were 26 Cadets in the drill, none of whom were over 20 years of age. They were flown from the Curragh Camp, Kildare, at the request of Jackie Kennedy. JFK was greatly impressed by the Cadets on his last official visit to Ireland (all commands were given in Gaelic Irish). Many thanks for the upload.

  • That drill was excellent. Bring back the Lee Enfeild SMLE for arms drill.
