Verticopter 1.3 Carrier and Oil Rig Ops, and more

Oil rigs are moving further and further away from shore. The Verticopter would provide a solution to get there fast and efficiently. The range of the Verticopter is also projected to be many times that of a helicopter, allowing for further-from-land oil rig operation.

One more thing that this video showcases is the ability of the Verticopter to perform controlled hovers with slight head-wind conditions. The layout of this plane normally requires wing-tip and tail-end puffers to control pitch and roll moments. Yaw can be controlled by varying the RPMs of the two props relative to each other. However, in headwinds of 10 kts or more, very controllable hovers are possible without the aid of these puffers.

I think I actually did this in Magix Movie Edit Pro... but I use several tools, including Blender, Samplitude, and Magix Movie Edit. The hardest thing about making these videos is to prevent skipping frames (resulting in choppiness).

A helicopter would burn fuel getting to the oil rig as well. Only the Verticopter would get farther faster with less fuel than a heil. There's also a 7-seater, and possibly other models planned, with higher seat counts.

Well.... I WAS going to school so that I could do practically this exact same thing and have people acknowledge credentials and actual engineering. .....Awesome idea, but damn you. I mean that in a friendly colleague kind of way. Looks like I'm going to have to stick with building mankind's first hyperdrive instead. :/
